Reverend Dr. Courtney VanDetta Grager, founder
Courtney has always had a heart for others and is passionate about helping people find freedom in Christ. Courtney is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary and a born and raised California sunshine girl. She's had many roles in ministry over the years and is affectionately called both 'word girl' and 'RevDocMom' by her daughters, Emma and Camille; being their mom is her favorite role in life. In addition to ministry within the church at First Presbyterian Church Berkeley and University Presbyterian Church in Seattle, Courtney runs Deep Well Ministries, which is designed to offer women a place to rest, renew, and invest in their spiritual development. Just think spa day + Jesus. If you miss her preaching or leading in worship on a Sunday, you can likely track her down drinking coffee at Peet's, throwing a party at home, or at Pure Barre (it's true - she's a barre addict!).
Emma Reimers, designer
Emma looks nothing like her mother Courtney and shares none of the same passions. You're not buying it? Ok fine. Emma would love nothing more than to grow up to be Courtney. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University where she studied Creative Writing and Spatial Design for Community. When she's not writing and playing songs around Nashville or cooking with her husband Jackson, she works with Tirzah International and Deep Well creating content, writing grants, and sprucing up websites. Emma shares her mother's love for food, travel, music, and words.
